Garden-ly Things...

Of tiny daffodils and fragrant peonies 

(this lovely pink dearie below was a mother's day gift from my husband....

and, I do so love it...she is planted prettily beneath a giant fir tree)!

A tiny radish and carrot bed (with one bean sprouting up...for good measure...in back)...planted and cared for by our nearly 2.5 year old...she is enamored of all things Peter Rabbit...and, of course, had to plant his favorite things to munch on..in hopes of luring him to visit, perchance...tee hee).

Pansies in pots and all things green and beautiful.....

oh I'm so loving our little garden these days!

Long Ago...

 

I do this too often...start a painting, drawing, (or even a dress or other sewing project....gulp....my most recent quilt project...gulp)...then abandon them....they sit, waiting and waiting to be completed, weeks...months.....yes, years even pass by! But.....I do 'usually' get back to them...'usually'...tee hee.  

This painting was begun over 2 years ago now (my time has flown!!) And I'm now finally beginning to work on her again.....adding little bits here and there, slowly...tee hee.  She is dear to me.

How I do so wish that the birds in our garden hopped about in lace-trimmed drawers, button up boots and striped stockings....leaving lace-strewn shadows and dainty footprints here and there! Little Blue Jay Bloomers!

A bit of progress on a wee folk-birdling from late last night....this feathery dear shall be part of a new print that I'm currently working on digitally altering...I do so wish that the real-life birds in our garden wore lacy drawers, button boots and striped stockings! tee hee
